Description
The Pelengas plastic reel is an excellent, lightweight and sturdy choice for spearguns. Unlike stainless steel reels, it keeps your setup balanced without excessive weight. The plastic adjustment knob ensures easy line tension control, and the patented mechanism makes operation smooth and reliable.
Made from high-strength engineering plastic and equipped with a metal line guide, the reel weighs only 60 grams — ideal for compact spearguns like the Pelengas 45+ or 55 with offset handles. For short guns, reel weight is crucial, as heavier metal reels affect buoyancy and require compensators, increasing water resistance during movement.
The reel is compatible with speargun receivers from 28 to 40 mm in diameter and is mounted using electrical tape, zip ties, or line with epoxy, typically on the bottom or side of the barrel.
