29/71 C-Spec Carbon Blades

The 29/71 C-Spec Carbon Blades are precision-engineered for freedivers who require smooth maneuverability, especially when swimming alongside large marine animals such as orcas, sharks, and whales. Developed in collaboration with oceanographers, the C-Spec is 10 cm shorter than the B-Spec, making it easier to turn and control in tight spaces without sacrificing thrust.

Built with T700 Toray aerospace-grade carbon fibre, each blade features 9 layers of carbon in various weights and fiber orientations. This advanced construction enables variable flex behavior—the blades remain soft during relaxed finning and stiffen when more energy is applied, minimizing fatigue and optimizing propulsion.

The dual-sole system sandwiches the blade between two rigid plates, providing a direct energy path from foot to blade. Full-length elastic silicone rails improve hydrodynamics and blade durability. The blades are compatible with 29/71 DS.1 and Cetma S-Wing ergonomic footpockets for a precise, comfortable fit.

Flex Options:

• Soft – Offers quick maneuverability and spring-like energy return; strong enough to lift a diver with camera gear from 30 meters.
• Soft+ – Adds an extra carbon layer in the upper blade for more thrust and faster response; ideal for divers with heavier equipment.

Choosing the Right Flex:
All flex versions are capable of deep propulsion. The best choice depends on your kick strength, amplitude, and resistance to fatigue. Proper loading of the blade requires reaching the inflection point in each kick. For those with strong, quick kicks, Soft+ is a great choice; for slower but powerful kicks, a softer flex may be more efficient.
